COMPASSION AID IS A MOBILE ASSISTANT DESIGNED TO SUPPORT PARAMEDICS IN DIFFICULT SOCIAL ENCOUNTERS. MOST PARAMEDICS ARE TRAINED TO SAVE LIVES, BUT NOT TO DEAL WITH SOCIAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL PROBLEMS. HOWEVER, IN URBAN ENVIRONMENTS, THESE SITUATIONS OCCUR FREQUENTLY.

Compassion Aid is an assistive device for paramedics that is worn on the chest.
It functions as a mobile emergency button and can emit various light signals via voice control.
These light signals help emergency responders, for example, to move through large crowds, create distance from attackers in dangerous situations, or calm patients.
The innovative user interface could also be of interest for use in radio communication devices.
